If my business model was to sell cameras and lenses a high priority would be to enable users as quick and easy as possible to process their photos in their favorite software (including FOSS and proprietary software). They openly support Magic Lantern, yet blocking FOSS from supporting their new format. Sadly, the current show-stopper is the potential legal/patent issue in reading the format, if only Canon can explicitly say that it's OK to implement. Hated my only Canon camera, so I don't follow that line at all, and consequently have no idea at what point Canon models started producing CR3. ![]() ![]() I don't believe the current stable version of Darktable supports CR3. What Canon camera do you have, Shaikailash?
